There is a new beta of BaseElements 4 for FileMaker Pro 12 available from the download page. This update fixes a few minor, but annoying issues :

• Updates the plugin to 1.3.1 and requires that version – fixes the issue that the reg details wouldn’t save.
• Solves as issue with paths to files that contained the .fmp12 extension.
• No longer imports grouped items as buttons.

I think this solves all of the minor issues with the first beta, and now we’re working on the server side import process, and a few other minor features.
